What's New This Month

June was one of the biggest months in WiiM's history — we launched our first Dolby Atmos soundbar, kicked off a World Cup prediction contest, rolled out Prime Day deals across regions, and shipped four firmware updates across the lineup. Here's everything you might have missed.

Introducing WiiM Bar — See the Sound. Build the Theater.

The headline news of the month: WiiM Bar is here, our first display-first Dolby Atmos® soundbar. It's designed to bring home theater sound, deep WiiM control, and at-a-glance playback visibility into one living room device.

  • See the Sound – A glass-covered 2.1" round touch display shows album art, track info, EQ, Smart Presets, Recently Played, clock faces, dynamic wallpapers, and audio visualizations right on the soundbar.

  • Immersive 3.0.2 Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X Playback – Top-firing height channels, HDMI eARC, and support for LPCM, Dolby Atmos/TrueHD/DD+, AC3, DTS, and DTS:X.

  • Expandable 5.1.2 Home Theater – Start with the standalone soundbar, then group with compatible WiiM devices to add wireless surrounds and subwoofer support — no new speaker wire required.

  • 8-Driver Acoustic System – Three front mid-woofers, three front tweeters, two top-firing full-range height drivers, and four passive radiators, backed by RoomFitâ„¢ auto-correction, Clear Voice, AI Dialog Enhancement, and Night Mode.

  • Scalable Whole-Home Audio – Groups with WiiM Sound, Amp, Ultra, Pro, Mini, and Edition speakers for synchronized multi-room music.

Join the WiiM Cup Challenge Prediction Contest

The summer's biggest soccer tournament kicked off this month, and we launched a prediction contest to celebrate with you. For each match, predict the winner through the official event page — correct guesses earn random rewards (5%, 10%, 20%, or 50% off coupons, or a free WiiM Sound Lite, Mini, or Pro), and the top three predictors over the full tournament take home the grand prizes: a WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp, and WiiM Sound.

The thread has been one of the most active on the forum all month — keep the predictions coming!

Firmware Updates

June was a busy month for firmware, with four releases across the lineup:

WiiM Sound — Firmware v5.2.820956 (Jun 23) Brings WiiM Radio to the device screen, a new VU Meter display mode, on-screen Alexa visual status indicators, stronger Wi-Fi stability with improved Wi-Fi 7 router compatibility, better queue/shuffle track order retention, and improved multicast logic for more reliable multi-room discovery and connectivity. Note: this update refreshes the Alexa integration, so you'll need to sign back in via the WiiM Home App afterward.

WiiM Sound Lite — Firmware v5.2.820851(Jun 22) Adds WiiM Radio support, a new option to delay automatic firmware updates, reduced playback stuttering, a Qobuz crash fix, an Amazon Music track-skipping fix, and an updated Google Cast SDK for better multi-platform playback support.

WiiM Amp Ultra — Firmware v5.2.820839(Jun 22) Adds WiiM Radio support, a customizable TV remote volume step, and the option to delay automatic updates. On the audio side: reduced audio input latency (down to roughly 35–40ms), fixed stuttering when switching VU Meter/Spectrum display modes, reduced playback stuttering, USB library fixes for special characters plus faster scanning, and a Qobuz crash fix.

WiiM Mini — Firmware v4.6.819436(Jun 8) A smaller but welcome update bringing WiiM Radio support to the Mini, plus a fix for occasional AirPlay playback dropouts.

Help Center Highlights

June's Help Center updates were dominated by the WiiM Bar launch, which brought a full set of new setup, remote, audio input, Dolby sound mode, and 5.1.2 surround sound articles.

A few worth singling out:

Community Buzz

June was a busy month. Bluetooth quality, multi-room viewing, subwoofer setup, sports audio, outdoor listening, and Prime Day deals all drove strong conversation. The WiiM Cup Challenge gave members an extra reason to check in, compare setups, and ask buying questions.

Product discussions stayed active around WiiM Bar, WiiM Sound, Sound Lite, Sub Pro, Amp Ultra, and Vibelink Amp — mostly around how these fit into stereo, surround, and whole-home systems. The WiiM Bar introduction drew particular interest from members thinking through home theater builds.

A few themes kept coming up across threads: setup guidance, product pairing advice, and practical troubleshooting around sync, HDMI ARC, Bluetooth compatibility, subwoofer integration, outdoor placement, and multi-room reliability. These are useful signals for where users need the most support and where content can get ahead of repeated questions.

Tech Tuesday Recap

Five posts went out in June, covering a range of topics from foundational to more technical:

  • Bluetooth Audio Quality— How codec selection works, why it depends on both devices, and when Bluetooth makes sense versus Wi-Fi or wired playback. Generated good community discussion and surfaced useful product-specific feedback around codec support.

  • Multi-Room Viewing Solutions Guide— Practical setup guidance for TV and multi-room viewing scenarios, including sync expectations, room grouping, and latency considerations.

  • One-Tap Subwoofer Auto-Calibration— Subwoofer and speaker sync for 2.1 systems, covering timing, crossover, phase, placement, and calibration.

  • Sports Audio Settings— Watch-party improvements: EQ presets, volume leveling, latency awareness, and keeping commentary clear without losing crowd energy.

  • Outdoor Audio Setup— Placement, coverage, durability, and product guidance for outdoor listening zones, including what stays outside and what needs to stay protected.
