WiiM News July 2026 recap featuring product updates, community highlights, and upcoming events

July was all about refining the experience. We rolled out firmware updates across several products, expanded the Help Center with dozens of new guides, opened pre-orders for WiiM Bar, and we're getting ready to head to Audio Advice Live to show off our newest home theater products.

Here's everything you might have missed.

 WiiM Bar Pre-Orders Are Here

One of the biggest moments this month was opening pre-orders for the WiiM Bar.

Designed to deliver immersive Dolby Atmos audio right out of the box, WiiM Bar can serve as a standalone 3.0.2 soundbar or become the centerpiece of a complete wireless 5.1.2 surround system with WiiM Sub Pro and WiiM Sound speakers.

The response from the community has been incredible, and we can't wait to get the Bar into more living rooms.

 Firmware Updates

July brought firmware updates to WiiM Ultra, WiiM Amp, WiiM Edition Audio Pro, and WiiM Sub Pro, with a focus on making everyday listening smoother and giving you more control over your system.

Some of the biggest additions included:

  • WiiM Radio support on additional devices

  • Adjustable TV remote volume steps, letting you fine-tune how much the volume changes with each press

  • A new option to delay automatic firmware updates

  • Faster and more reliable USB library scanning

  • Reduced playback stuttering and quicker audio input switching

  • Stability improvements for services like Amazon Music and Qobuz

You can read the full release notes for each device below:

As always, thank you to everyone who reports bugs, shares feedback, and helps us test new features. Your input continues to shape future updates.

 Help Center Highlights

The Help Center continued to grow throughout July with new guides covering some of our most requested topics.

A few highlights include:

  • Using USB Audio with WiiM devices, including supported formats and best practices

  • EQ and Audio Settings guides to help you get the most from your speakers and listening space

  • Expanded networking and setup documentation to make getting started easier

  • New troubleshooting articles covering common questions from the community

  • Additional WiiM Bar documentation ahead of launch, including home theater and surround sound resources

If you've searched the forum for an answer recently, there's a good chance we've turned that discussion into an official Help Center article.

Community Buzz

July’s biggest WiiM community conversations covered everything from firmware and product limitations to music and creative integrations. The WiiM Ultra firmware update generated by far the most discussion, while Songs about cars became a lively community music thread. Over on Reddit, the month’s most-commented post asked why users can’t use two outputs simultaneously, prompting a broader conversation about output flexibility and current beta support.

Honorable mention : The Tuneshine developer announced WiiM integration, generating interest in external displays, multi-device support, streaming-service compatibility, and Bluetooth limitations.

Thanks to everyone who filled out our survey last quarter — we mean it when we say your input shapes what we build.

Tech Tuesday Recap

July's Tech Tuesday series covered a lot of ground, from streaming sound quality myths and frequency response basics, to getting the most out of your WiiM ecosystem and fixing common setup issues. Catch up on any you missed and join the conversation on the forum!
