New App and Firmware Updates
Here's everything you might have missed.
WiiM Home Arrives on LG webOS TVs

WiiM Home is now available on LG webOS TVs — you can find it on the LG Apps store, supporting 2023–2025 LG TV models (webOS 23/24/25).
Like our other TV apps, this is designed for seeing what's playing with some basic playback controls — not as a replacement for the mobile app. Expect basic functionality at launch, with more features to come over time. If you're new to installing LG webOS apps, LG has a quick walkthrough to get you started.
WiiM Amp Ultra Recognized in the Tom's Guide TV & Audio Awards 2026

The WiiM Amp Ultra was selected for the Tom's Guide TV & Audio Awards 2026, landing in the Home Hi-Fi category alongside 25 award-winning products for home theaters and listening rooms.
Tom's Guide called out how the Amp Ultra combines music streaming with up to 100W per channel of amplification in one compact system, with Managing Editor Nick Pino writing that for the price, he's yet to find something better.
We're grateful for the recognition, and want to thank everyone in the WiiM community who continues to share feedback and help us improve.
App & Firmware Updates
August updates included something for most of our products, including new features for WiiM Amp Ultra, WiiM Ultra, WiiM Bar, and more! With a focus on making everyday listening smoother and giving you more control over your system.
WiiM Home App
v3.6.3 (Aug 6) — Added an option to enable or disable Auto Headroom under Device Settings → Audio Settings.
v3.6.4 (Aug 18) — Added the ability to add the current playback queue to a playlist, add SMB tracks to the queue with clearer sign-in errors, enable DLNA output from the app, and add a WiiM Subwoofer directly from Device Settings. Also refreshed the radio playback screen and added guidance for WiiM Voice Remote + Alexa voice control.
v3.6.6 (Aug 31) — Added RoomFit™ room correction support for WiiM Bar's left, center, and right channels. Fixed the Custom Radio Stop button not displaying, plus several stability/crash fixes.

WiiM Amp Ultra Firmware
v5.2.826130 (Aug 13) — A big one: added Auto Headroom, an on-screen Alexa animation, custom standby wallpaper selection, and one-tap subwoofer calibration. Also improved multi-room audio quality, Soundtrack and Google Cast SDKs, added iHeartRadio FLV support, reduced Bluetooth/Spotify Connect stuttering, and fixed a handful of playback, date-display, and USB library bugs.
v5.2.827565 (Aug 27) — Updated the Soundtrack SDK for playback stability, improved multi-room synchronization, and fixed Spotify Connect pop noise when skipping tracks along with speakers dropping out of a group at playback start.

WiiM Ultra Firmware
v5.2.826052 (Aug 12) — Fixed Spotify Connect popping on track skips, Dolby Digital stuttering at fixed 24-bit/192kHz output, volume jumping to 100 after a long remote press, and Qobuz playback stopping while loading high-res artwork.
v5.2.827567 (Aug 27) — Same round of fixes as the Amp Ultra: Soundtrack SDK stability, improved multi-room sync, and Spotify Connect pop/group-dropout fixes.
As always, thank you to everyone who reports bugs, shares feedback, and helps us test new features. Your input continues to shape future updates.

Tech Tuesday Recap
August's Tech Tuesdays focused on features that are easy to overlook until you need them:
Firmware Updates: What's New and How to Update — A look at staged firmware rollouts, where to find release notes, what update statuses mean, and what to check when your device hasn't received an update yet.
Mastering the WiiM Home App: Features You May Have Missed — A tour through useful shortcuts, controls, and settings hiding just beneath the app's everyday playback features.
Auto Headroom: What It Does and When You Need It — Why EQ and RoomFit™ boosts can sometimes run out of digital headroom, how Auto Headroom helps prevent clipping, and why turning it on doesn't necessarily mean your volume is being reduced.
Gapless Playback and Fade-In/Fade-Out Settings — Two features that sound similar but solve very different problems, from keeping live albums and continuous mixes flowing naturally to smoothing starts, pauses, and stops.
If you missed one, August was a good month to dig a little deeper into the settings that quietly make a WiiM system work better.
